I’m told when the Longhorns got together for their first team run of bowl practices, Steve Sarkisian was all over the players about effort and focus to get them reeled back in for the push to their Sugar Bowl matchup with Washington on Jan 1.

“The full team run was stopped in the middle,” a source close to the situation said. “Sarkisian gathered them together and lit them up and made them start the full run again. The message was a variation of, ‘We didn’t come this far to come this far.’ Everyone got the message.”

The importance of a deep and talented wide receiver group in modern college football cannot be overstated.
