Cincinnati Bengals WR In Desperate Need of ‘Bounce-Back’ Season

The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver needs to get back to his normal self if he hopes to cash in on a big season.

The Cincinnati Bengals offense could be very good this season, but a big chunk of hope is placed on their rocky relationship with a veteran wide receiver.

As Pro Football Focus’ Bradley Locker looked around the league for the top ‘bounce-back’ candidates and the aforementioned Tee Higgins was the pick for Cincinnati.

Here’s what Locker had to say about the wideout:

Higgins has been very open about wanting to move on to a new team with a bigger paycheck, he’ll need this season to go well if he wants that to come to fruition. He’s currently playing on a franchise tag, meaning that this will be his last audition before hitting free agency if the team doesn’t trade him before the end of the year.

In four seasons, the 25-year-old has 267 catches for 3,684 yards and 24 touchdowns. While those numbers aren’t bad, it’s not the level of production that gets a receiver paid like he wants to get paid.
